A WINEGROWER FAMILY HISTORY
The history of our passion for wine begins in 1754 when the Oberhofer family emigrated from Tramin (South Tyrol) to the Palatinate. Almost 250 years later, Stefan and Heidi Oberhofer laid the foundation stone for successful wine production by merging their parents’ areas on the Southern Wine Route to form a common winery: the Oberhofer Winery in Edesheim, as it exists today.
PASSION AND ABILITY
A family business that functions economically and at the same time meets high demands needs a lot of commitment, dedication and stamina. The painstaking care and harvesting of the vines, the meticulous work in the cellar and successful marketing: here the cohesion and the will for quality have always proved themselves. As early as 2008, the Oberhofers switched to strictly organic cultivation.
FUTURE THROUGH VALUES
With Pascal Oberhofer, born in 1994, a young, talented winemaker generation follows. After studying viticulture at the renowned Geisenheim University of Applied Sciences, he brought many new impulses and his own signature to the work in the vines and cellar. He is one hundred percent behind his parents’ decision to opt for organic viticulture: his values are sustainability, quality and diversity.
